What is Cupping Therapy?
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine that dates back thousands of years. Originating in traditional Chinese medicine, this practice involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction is believed to stimulate blood flow, promote healing, and provide various therapeutic benefits.
Types of Cupping Therapy
  • Dry Cupping: Involves placing cups on the skin and creating suction without the use of heat.
  • Fire Cupping: In this method, heated glass cups are placed on the skin. A vacuum is formed inside the cup and suction created using a flame which consumes the oxygen inside the cup. After the flame is extinguished, the cup is quickly placed upon the skin.
